Orange Peel is a triangular lace and cable shawl worked from the top down. I designed the shawl while on holiday; the cables of the first chart were inspired by the traditional cuckoo clocks in the Black Forest.
The pattern is interesting to knit because of the various stitches used but for the same reason I don’t recommend it to beginners, some experience with cable and lace stitches is necessary. Working the cables is easier and faster if you know how to cable without a cable needle.
